Education and Efficient Windows Collaborative (EWC) Internship
Primary Educational Team Duties:
Write the monthly Update newsletter
Work hands on with the Saving Energy in DC Green Schools program
Help plan and create documents for the Green Campus Mid-Year meeting
Field information requests from the education community
Provide assistance in beginning our newly funded programs
Updating the webpage regularly with timely and exciting articles
Research as it comes up
Interface with the communications and policy teams
Primary EWC Duties:
Research and writing on energy-efficient windows technology
Assist in organizing conferences, presentations, and exhibitions on energy-efficient windows technology
Assist in proposals and reporting
Additional research projects and issues as assigned
Assist in updating and maintaining the website
Assist in maintaining various databases and files
Desired skills/qualifications:
Undergraduate degree
Excellent writing and editing skills, confidence in communicating on the phone or in person, past experience working with education and/or outreach efforts, well organized, team-player
Strong research skills
Basic computer skills (Microsoft office a must, knowledgeable in HTML, Photoshop, are desirable but not required)
Basic knowledge of building energy codes or windows technology is desirable but not required
Interest in energy efficiency is a plus
Self starter and able to work independently and in a team environment.
Leadership abilities, good academic performance, strong interpersonal & communication skills
