Responsibilities

Write and report for our award-winning Web site, www.ForeignPolicy.com.
Regularly contribute to Passport, the blog by the editors of FP.
Fact-check articles and work with writers to ensure accuracy.
Proofread articles.
Propose and develop story ideas for upcoming issues.
Researchers have the opportunity to write and work with an editor on at least one short piece (published at the editor's discretion) for the print magazine.
Some administrative work is required.

Requirements & Qualifications

Open to graduate students and undergraduates who have at least entered their sophomore year.
Must have course work and/or job experience in international relations, comparative politics, journalism, history, or economics.
Must have outstanding research and writing skills.
Preference will be given to candidates with some journalism experience.
We ask that candidates be willing to come in a minimum of 25 hours per week and be prepared to work around publication deadlines.

Semester Internship(unpaid, for credit only)

The intern must be a currentstudent enrolled in a degree program AND if selected, must submit one ofthe following before the first day of work:


documentation showing thatacademic credit is being received (i.e.,a copy of the course registration); OR
a letter from a professor,department head, sponsor or academic advisor stating that the internshipsignificantly contributes to the student's current degree program; OR
a letter from the school statingthat the internship is part of a work-study or independent study program.
